Derrick T Younger, Sr

Derrick T Younger, 67, affectionately known as “Rock,” was born October 20, 1953, in Pittsburgh, PA. The beloved son of the late Issac and Elma (Dudley) Younger, departed this life on December 25, 2020, at home with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Dudley.   

Derrick worked for Lifespan retiring after 27 years. He was also a successful businessman owning two variety stores and an online drum store. Derrick was a talented musician; first learning to play the drums at the age of 4. He will be remembered for his love of music, cars, and football. He enjoyed laughing and being around his family.

Derrick is survived by his loving spouse of 35 years, Monica Younger, three sons, Derrick T Younger (Amirh) of San Francisco, CA, Dante Younger of Mckeesport, Dorian Younger of North Versailles; daughters, Chivon (Tarus) Smith of White Oak, and Tomika Brown of Mckeesport; 9 grandchildren; brother, DeWayne Jeter of Newport News, VA; sister, Shirley Taylor of McKeesport; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
