Darnell E. Robinson, son of the late James Robinson Sr. and Mary Hazel Ramseur Robinson began his journey on this earth on December 23, 1955. He was a lifelong resident of Clairton and graduated from Clairton High School in 1974. Darnell was a kindhearted and loving person who would do anything for you. His life was full of laughter; sarcastic in nature, and love that he shared so dearly with his family and his closest friends. Darnell had a great love for culture, music, and special affinity for style. Darnell cherished family get-togethers where everyone gathered to have fun and eat! Darnell attended the Fashion Academy where he won first place for his white Aberdeen Suit. Post academy, Darnell went on to be a tailor for Michael’s Boutique, servicing the greater Pittsburgh area. He thoroughly enjoyed making garments for his family members or hemming all of Mary Hazel’s everyday wear. Later, Darnell went on to work at Kaufmann’s and Service Master’s in Pittsburgh. Always a service to others, Darnell continued sewing for his neighbors at his final residence, Carver Hall.
Darnell was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church in Clairton and was a member of the Usher Board #2. On Thursday, March 22, 2024. Darnell was called home. He was preceded in death by his father, James Robinson, Senior Mary Hazel Ramseur Robinson, brothers James Robinson Jr., Johnnie Graves, Sisters, Sherri Robinson Epps, Norma Jean Robinson, Nephews Terrence, Leroy Hamlin, Cornell Maurice Hurt, and Great Nephew Tauveá Joshua Hurt
He leaves to cherish in memory, devoted sisters, Stephanie Lee, and Gwendolyn Jones, and a host of loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
