Darlene Elizabeth Jamison was born on June 29, 1961, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Russell Snead and Adelaide Goodwin Snead.
Darlene was a lifelong resident of Clairton graduating from Clairton High School in Clairton, Pennsylvania.
She was family-oriented and loved to be surrounded by her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Although she could be bossy at times, she had a great love of people and a kind heart. Darlene could light up a room just with her presence. One of her favorite past times was playing Bingo, not caring if she won or lost. She also loved to cook; her favorite dishes were crab legs, bluegill, and bass fish. Often, she would ask Jonathon to quickly clean and cook the fish because she could not wait to eat it.
Following the call from God, Darlene was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church on January 1, 1970, and a member of the Adult Usher Board #2.
After a four-year valent fight with cancer, Darlene peacefully transitioned home to be with God on Friday, September 18, 2020, with her loving family at her side.
She was preceded in death by her stepson Raymond Jamison. Darlene leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Hercules Jamison; children, Delrice Bristo, Sr., Jonathan Johnson, Alana Johnson, Kellen McLemore, and Brandon Jackson; stepchildren, Lamont Jamison, Denise Jamison, and Arthur Jamison; siblings, Denise Snead, Julia Snead, Michelle, Snead, Maurice Simmons, Russell Snead, Jr. Thomas Snead, Loretta Smith, LuLu Snead, and Tiffany Dixon; thirteen grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
