Christen Jenise Hunter, 38, of McKeesport, PA, was born March 10, 1988, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the beloved daughter of Christopher L. Samuel and Denise L. Hunter.

Christen was a proud graduate of the Class of 2006 from McKeesport High School. She entered the working world with determination and heart. Right out of high school, she began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where her empathy, strength, and gentle nature touched countless lives. Her dedication to service extended beyond healthcare as she discovered a deep passion for the hospitality industry. Combining her natural warmth with her strong work ethic, she went on to build a fulfilling career in hospitality management, where she found joy in serving others.

Christen set a shining example of love, responsibility, and resilience. Her role is that of a big sister with pride, always offering guidance, support, and a listening ear. Her family, friends, and colleagues will remember her not only for her dedication but for her generous spirit and the light she brought into every room. 

Christen departed this life on March 27, 2026. At UPMC East in Monroeville, PA. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Randolph Hunter and Mary J. Hunter, and her paternal grandparents, Michael Wilson and Marla Lowery.  

Christen is survived by her loving mother, Denise L. Hunter, father and stepmother, Christopher (Peegee) L. Samuel, her children, Christopher Lester, Tristen Hunter and Ryatt Scott, siblings, Staff Sergeant Cameron (Marquia) Harmon, Cahrie Samuel, Nina Symone Rodman, Seren Elyse Rodman, and Niah Rodman, stepbrothers, Derek Brown and Malik Strider, survivors also include Heather Collins and Gregory Rodman who helped raise her, and aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
