Charles Edward Mosley (Geechie) was born on February 16, 1958, at his family’s home on Broadway in Clairton, Pennsylvania, to the late Charlie and Lucille Mosley. After graduating from Clairton High School, he nurtured his passion for art by attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. A talented artist, Charles shared his skills with his beloved nieces and nephews, teaching them how to draw and instilling a love for creativity that continues in his family today. Charles also enjoyed fishing, often spending peaceful hours by the water.
In his younger years, Charles was an active member of Morningstar Baptist Church. In 1977, he moved to Columbus, Ohio, where he worked at Schottenstein’s Department Store. On August 22, 1984, he married Patricia Yaites Williams, and together they enjoyed hosting family gatherings and sharing their love of music. A devoted uncle, he took joy in teaching his nieces and nephews how to dance and drive, leaving them with lifelong memories.
After parting ways with Patricia, Charles returned to Clairton in 1999 and married his high school sweetheart, Sheila "Angel" Dreher, on June 19, 1999. They shared special years together before their paths diverged once again. During this time in Clairton, he worked at Gabe's and later as a Delivery Driver for Johnson & Johnson Pharmacy Delivery Service.
Charles peacefully departed this life on October 6, 2024, at Bethel Park Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He leaves behind a legacy of love, artistry, and devotion to his family.
