Charles graduated from Falcon High School (now Woodland Hills High School) where he wrestled and boxed. He attended California University of Pennsylvania with an academic and athletic scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. He loved his family wholeheartedly. He stood ten toes down for what was right. His sense of humor was the true definition of dad jokes. He had a gift of song that was like no other.
Charles was preceded in death by his Father Charles Earl Fitzgerald Jr, uncle Benjamin Bryant, and brother Danzell Smith.
Charles leaves to cherish his memories of his mother, Lydia Daniels of McKeesport, PA, sister Barbara Manuel of Pittsburgh, PA, God-sister Camille Herriott of McKeesport, PA, and his ex-wife Fredericka Fitzgerald of Akron, OH. He also leaves behind his children: Marcia (Kenny) McSwain of Akron OH, Charles Earl (Adrian) Fitzgerald IV of McKeesport PA, Passion (Andre) Carey of McKeesport PA, Desiree Fitzgerald of McKeesport PA, Tymir Fitzgerald of Braddock, PA, Chartier Fitzgerald of Braddock, PA, and Leo Fitzgerald of Braddock, PA. His nephews and god-daughters: Kevin Crosby of Pittsburgh, PA, Danzell C Smith of Pittsburgh, PA, Tremayne (Ivy) White of Pittsburgh, PA, Myia Blake of McKeesport, PA, and Raven Herriott of McKeesport, PA. He also leaves his 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
