Carolyn Davenport, 77, of Clairton, was born May 17, 1947, in Conway, South Carolina, She was the beloved daughter of the late Junius Davenport and Edna Patterson-Gowan Davenport.
Carolyn attended Clairton High School for a short period and had to drop out to take care of her mother who was a double amputee. Later in life, she obtained her GED. She was employed at Southwestern Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for years and later retired from there.
She liked cooking, a very skilled cook, she enjoyed fishing, bingo, and going to the casino. She was a member of the Mt. Olive First Baptist Church in Clairton, PA., but rarely attended. However, she made sure all her children were baptized there.
Carolyn departed this life on November 30, 2024, at home. She was preceded in death by her father, Junius Davenport, mother, Edna Patterson-Gowan Davenport, sister, Betty Pickett, brothers, Joe Pickett, and James Davenport, sister, Stoney Mae Davenport.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved children her son, LaNeil Davenport, daughters, Vatus Davenport, and Diana Davenport, and son, Tarell Addison; 17 Grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
