Carolyn Lee Boswell Adams peacefully departed this world on July 10th, 2023. She was a devoted loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Cousin, Aunt, and Friend and she will be deeply missed by all, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion. Carolyn’s greatest desire was Love, and to be Loved. Carolyn was born on February 23rd, 1952 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Schenley High School and in 1986 she graduated from Nursing School. Carolyn worked as a wound care nurse for over 33 years. Her enthusiasm for science and the art of nursing undoubtedly was the reason she chose this profession dedicating herself to the care of others.
January 18, 2014, Carolyn made the most important decision of her life, when she dedicated her life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Throughout her battle with cancer, Carolyn served as a pioneer.
One of Carolyn’s greatest passions was her love of music and dancing, and she was a talented Bass player a great adoration she learned from her Father. Carolyn also had an incredible fluidity and dexterity to her voice able to sing several octaves she was a beautiful singer.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her former husband George “Budder” Adams, her son Robert W. Adams, her Parents Viola and Robert Boswell, and her Brother Robert “Bobby” Boswell. Carolyn is survived by her Children George Adams, Candice Adams, Claudette Simmons, Shirelle Adams-Tramber (Romel), Fode Camara, Carolyn Mann, and Alphonse Mann Jr (Sierra), Her sister Cheryl Anne Acrie (Kenneth); and 22 Grandchildren, and 29 Great Grandchildren. Although Carolyn has fallen asleep in death we will remember her as a person of faith, a loving mother, and someone who spent her life devoted to caring for her family and others.
