Beverly Roxanne Green daughter of Joan B. Green and the late Robert L. Green passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2020, with her family by her side. She was 59.
Beverly, a native of Finleyville, Pa., attended First Baptist Church and graduated from Ringgold High School in 1979. After her completion of college from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a BS degree in marketing, Beverly relocated to the District of Columbia. Though she worked as an accountant and/or marketing expert for various employers, Beverly was most recently employed by the United States Department of Transportation.
Beverly gave her life to Christ more than 25 years ago. She became literate in the Bible and her faith in God was prevalent and unyielding. She gave “God the Glory” daily throughout her walks of life. As an active member of Greater St. John Cathedral in Upper Marlboro, Md., Beverly was one of Bishop Gresham’s trusted Armor Bearers.
Bev had a sensitive and kind spirit that found the good in others. She lived her life happy, selecting optimism over pessimism; and love over loathing. Her infectious smile permeated the hearts of all those fortunate enough to have made her acquaintance. She loved church, music, and travel and maintained an intimate and unique bond with each member of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother Gregory Green. To celebrate her life and promote her legacy of love and faith in God, Beverly leaves behind her mother Joan Green, sister Stephanie Mungin, brother Gordon Green, nephews Stefon Heyward and Malachi Mungin, nieces Tiffany Green, Nycole Wilkins, and Taylor Jones, a Goddaughter Courtnee Brown and a host of cousins and friends.
