Bennie Karl Green, 74, of Wilkinsburg, was born January 3, 1951, in Washington, District of Columbia. He was the beloved son of the late Bennie and Rebecca Sheppard Green.

Bennie grew up in the Hill District in “Waring Court.”Bennie attended Schenley High School. He received his GED.

He was employed and retired from Gateway Center in Pittsburgh, PA., as a Security Guard. His favorite pass time was driving people around, dancing and playing cards. He loved to dress in old-school style.

He a was member of St. James AME where he served on the Usher Board.

Bennie departed this life on March 13, 2025, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, (Doris Green), his parent’s father, Bennie Green, and mother, Rebecca Sheppard Green.

Bennie is survived by his beloved daughter, Tamara (Erik) Baker of Concord, NC; one grandchild, Myla Baker; sister, Jacalyn L. Green; uncle, Harry (Marlene) Sheppard, Sheppard Family of Silver Springs, Maryland, one niece Lachelle Y. Green, great nephew, Javon K. Jenkins, great niece Jevah J. Green, longtime friend Marc A. Peters and longtime companion Karen Howie.
