Barbara Ann Lindsay, 79, of Duquesne, was born December 31, 1943, at McKeesport Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret Lindsay.
Barbara was the 2nd oldest of five siblings. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School and Thomas Jefferson High School in Clairton, PA. She also attended and graduated with honors from Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma. She helped with the telephone and prayer ministry while there.
Barbara departed this life on November 15, 2023, from Jefferson Hospital. She loved to cook and prepare some of the best dishes you’d ever eaten. She even cooked for Dennis Rodman. She was skilled in arts and crafts; and created gift baskets and floral wreaths including plant and floral arrangements. She worked in a floral shop, Soul Food, and Barbeque restaurants in Michigan. She absolutely loved to read and study the Bible.
Barbara accepted Christ and became a born-again believer in 1982, under the leadership of Bishop Ronnie P. Hall, Mt. Carmel Full Gospel Assembly in Inkster, MI. She also did missionary work in Inkster, Lansing, Georgia, and Pittsburgh. She organized an outreach ministry from her apartment complex until she could no longer carry it on. She was licensed as an ordained minister and pastor by Mt. Carmel Full Gospel. She loved the Lord and her greatest passion was bringing souls into the Kingdom of God. She absolutely loved her family and looked forward to seeing them whenever they visited her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her, mother, Margaret Lindsay, sisters, Mary and Ethel Lindsay, and children, Raymond, and Cheryl Lindsay.
Barbara is survived by her two loving sons, William (Deborah) Lindsay of Dearborn, MI, and Daniel (Nicole) Lindsay of Duquesne, PA; daughter, Kimberly Washington-Burnett of Atlanta, GA; thirteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Ella Doily and Susan Lindsay and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
