Wayne Thurston Salter, Sr.

Wayne T. Salter transitioned from this side to Glory on January 18, 2018

Our beloved Wayne T Salter graced this world with his presence on October 20, 1955. Born in Mckeesport, PA to the late Rev. John C. Salter and Niqulia A. Salter. He was one of three children Michael Salter (brother) Terri Drew (sister)Wayne was baptized at an early age at the Mckeesport YMCA. Under the spiritual teaching and guidance of Pastor Dorothy Reeves.

Wayne graduated from South Allegheny High School where he was an avid basketball player.

Wayne met the love of his life Darlene Kmetko in 1984 and was a loving companion, friend, and partner until the time he was called home to be with the Lord.  Wayne was a loving and caring father to his four children Jilynn, Dayna, Rasheena, Wayne Jr. Accompanied by spouse Marty, Maizy.

Wayne was a loving and caring partner, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He was kind, respectful, generous, funny, and real! He loved coaching basketball, building computers, running sound, fishing, flying planes simulator, playing guitar, hunting, working on cars, bikes, and boats. He spent his time enjoying the nature and He loved gardening, and making things better, whether it was lending an ear, a word of advice, or extending a helping hand. No matter what the conversation was about Wayne would always leave you with the answer, and that answer was God!

Wayne was proceeded in death by his mother Rev. John C. Salter and Niquila A. Salter.

He leaves to mourn with his passing Brother: Michael Salter. Sister: Terri Drew. Daughters: Rasheena, Dayna, and Jilynn. Son: Wayne. Grandchildren: Jayla Salter, Cianna Mervis, Caleb Griffin, Easton Salter (Wayne, Maizy), Janoah Salter(Rasheena), Sebastian (Clay) Salter, Trever Snyder, Seharra Vaux (Jilynn), Darlene Aughenbaugh, Justin Aughenbaugh, Kaitlyn Aughenbaugh, Makian Aughenbaugh (Dayna, Marty). Great Grand Kids: Elisha, Kayden, Reese, Ailee, Eli, Elizaberth.

Friends will be received Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sanctified Ministries of Braddock, 215 11th Street, Braddock, Pennsylvani, where services will be held on Friday,  January 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
