Timothy Chavis

Timothy Chavis, 56, son of Nancy Chavis and the late James Chavis, Sr. was born on July 9, 1963, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He passed away on January 19, 2020, in Erie, PA. He was preceded in death by father, James Chavis, Sr. and late wife Toni Chavis.

 Tim or Timmy, as he was affectionately known, played Varsity football and graduated from McKeesport High School in 1981. He enlisted in the United States Army. He was very Industrious & worked many trades throughout Mckeesport/Pittsburgh/Erie,  Pennsylvania area

Tim loved music, chess, checkers, sports & loved to help others. He loved his family & his family loved him. When in town, Tim attended Kingdom Come Ministries in Clairton, Pa.

Timothy is survived by his mother Nancy Chavis, daughters Tonisha and Tracie Howard,  and Tanika Chavis; sons, Tailyn Howard and Timothy Chavis, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; siblings, James (Lyn) Chavis Jr., Pastor Sharon (Jonathan) Robinson, CeCelia Chavis, Tyrone Williams, Anthony Jackson; special friend; Alexandrina Timmons from Erie host of nieces, nephews, many relatives, and friends.
