Born September 23, 1971, departed her earthly life peacefully Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was the daughter of James & Elizabeth Johnson, mother of Charles “Chuckie” Cole, sister of Terrance “Terry” and James “Weedy” Johnson, all of McKeesport, PA, Seasons Cole of Elizabeth, PA and Holly Deakins of Pittsburgh, PA. Tiffany was preceded in death by grandparents Lewis and Mary Johnson.
A resident of McKeesport, PA, Tiffany attended the McKeesport area schools where she was known as quite the athlete showcasing her skills in softball and basketball. She graduated from McKeesport High and furthered her education at CCAC completing her studies as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Tiffany would later use her nursing skills caring for patients while employed at Presbyterian and Mercy Hospital, and Riverside Nursing Home.
Tiffany became a member of St. Paul AME Church at an early age where she learned to trust God and to walk by faith. She was a woman of strength and courage who never gave up on life even when life seemed difficult.
Tiffany’s greatest joy in life was her son Chuckie whom she loved dearly. It was her heart’s desire to see him not only graduate high school but to also see him obtain a four-year College degree. He did not disappoint her. The bond they shared was evident to all as Chuckie lovingly and attentively cared for his mother during her lengthy illness.
Tiffany enjoyed spending time with family and friends, often planning and hosting birthday parties and impromptu cookouts. In fact, as reported by her brother Weedy, it was not unusual to hear Tiffany say, “I’m hungry,” or in the same breath say, “get out.”
Tiffany was loved by many. She was like a ray of sunshine with a smile that could brighten a cloudy day. She was beautiful inside and out. A woman of courage, strength, and compassion. Kind, caring, and funny. This is who Tiffany was and how she will be remembered.
Tiffany leaves to mourn parents James and Elizabeth Johnson, son Chuckie Cole, brothers Terry and Weedy (Quincy) Johnson, sisters Seasons Cole and Holly Deakins, nieces Jamese, Jahraya, nephews, Derrick, Julian, and great-nephew Baby Julian. Sister friends Keesha Lee, Tamara Mann, Lawanda Mills, Marie Moore, Vonnie Stewart, Tiffany Swindle, and Vonda Thomas, all serving as pallbearers, and a host of other relatives and friends.
