Robin Lynn Ruffin was born on November 19, 1965 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Roy Johnson, Sr. and her beloved mother, Lavelle Cook-Campbell. She peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020, at home. She was also preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, and nephew Sherrod Johnson.
Robin, a graduate of Wilkinsburg High School, was a fun and loving person. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost and spent most of her time working in childcare. Robin loved children and treasured educating them and planning fun activities for them to do. Running a daycare center was one of her treasured achievements. A woman of true wisdom, she loved to read and write poetry.
A life-long learner, Robin valued education and pursued multiple certificates. One of her achievements, which gave her great satisfaction, was receiving a certificate in medical code and billing. Education was her love, and she spent a great deal of her time encouraging young people to get an education.
Robin's desire to learn the truth from God's word was very important to her. When studying with Jehovah's witnesses she learned that God's plan for a peaceful world is soon to come. A world at peace with no disease, crime, hatred or death. Her belief in the resurrection back to a peaceful earth was strong. Her desire to see her mother was strong. Her prayer was to see all of her loved ones in God's new world as well.
Robin is survived by her three daughters, Lala (Drew) White of McKees Rocks, PA, Quetta Johnson of McKeesport, PA, Chassidi Johnson of North Versailles, PA; son, Jackson Johnson of Elwood City, PA; four grandchildren; four brothers, Roy Johnson of Columbia, SC, Raymond Johnson of Washington, D.C., Roderick Johnson of San Diego, CA, Russell (Tamica) Johnson of Monroeville, PA; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
