Robert Frank Knight, Sr.

Robert Frank Knight, Sr., 83 of Clairton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at home.

He was born February 1, 1935 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Benjamin and Alberta Lindsey Knight; He was also preceded in death by son, Zack Benjamin Knight.  Robert was the loving husband of Alicia Knight for 46 years.

He was a member of Greater Allen African Methodist Episcopal Cathedral in Queens, NY and attended Morning Star Baptist Church after relocating to Clairton.  Robert earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and went on to work as a Teacher, Job Placement Counselor and Consultant.  He had also proudly served his county as a Unite States Marine during the Korean War Era.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Alicia Knight of Clairton; son, Robert F. Knight, Jr. of Bronx, NY; sister, Murial Drake of Los Angeles, CA, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:00 am - 11:00 am in Morning Star Baptist Church, 307 Shaw Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania, where services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gloria Ruffing officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
