The late Carolyn Robinson and Richard Adams were blessed with a beautiful child of God, Ricshawn Jacqueline Robinson, on December 24th, 1970.
Ricshawn was affectionately known as: “The Rock”, “Sis”, “Sister”, “Ma”, “GrandMa’, ''Auntie”,''Shawn”, and “Ric”. At a young age, she loved music, singing, and dancing, and she was likely to perform in talent shows while attending Pittsburgh Public Schools. Ricshawn played clarinet in the Westinghouse Highschool Marching Band and was a graduate with The Bulldogs c/o 1989. Later, she worked as a Home Health Aide at The Kane Nursing Home (Homestead), and she also studied Cosmetology at Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, where she earned her PA Cosmetology License.
Ricshawn enjoyed taking care of everyone. She found the good in everyone, and she was the glue for everyone in her family. She enjoyed spending precious time hanging out with and cooking for her loved ones. She was fiercely adored by her siblings, children and grandchildren. Her nurturing love will be missed by everyone who knew her. “Stay Gold” she would say. Her peaceful spirit, her listening ear, and her words of wisdom will always go down into the family’s history. God gained a royal and loyal angel, Rest With God Ricshawn!
Richshawn leaves in God’s care, her siblings: Tanelle Robinson, Labaron Robinson, and Tamika Adams. Her 2 children, Renea Smithson (Gil Kirkland) and Rahmod Robinson. Her 4 grandchildren, Orlando Burt, Emoni Kirkland, Elijah Kirkland, and Kyomi Kirkland. Plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Carolyn Robinson and Richard Adams; her sister and brother, Rashina Adams and Richard Adams Jr.; and her precious grandma, Odessa Caldwell, who she affectionately called “MOTHER “.
