Michael P. Boatright, Sr.

Michael P. Boatright Sr, 63 of Clairton Pennsylvania, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday November 22, 2017 @ UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

Michael was born January 28, 1954 in Brownsville Pa, Son of the late William Kerney Sr & Juanita Johnson Boatright Kerney.

Shortly after graduating from Frazier High school, he took up residency in Clairton Pa & started working at US STEEL CLAIRTON WORKS. (After leaving his position there) he was employed at BellAire Furniture in Clairton for 5years. Following his position there he began working for Consumers Produce as a Inspector for the last 17 yrs. Also, in his spare time he loved to engage with family & friends for gatherings and a good game of poker or pool. In his younger days he enjoyed playing basketball & softball. He later carried on his love for the sport by coaching the neighborhood kids in baseball.

Survivors include Son Michael P. Boatright Jr of East Pittsburgh & Mother Gwen Hardaway of Braddock, Son Calvin Boatright of Clairton & Mother Yvonne Brown of New York. Daughter AnnMarie Boatright Sons Andrew Boatright, Robert Boatright & Mother AnnMarie Ford all of Clairton. Girlfriend Cheryl Barnett of Clairton.

Siblings, William Kerney Jr of Harrisburg Pa, Louise Floyd of Hampton Virginia, Steven Boatright, Nicie Billings, Martin Kerney, Anthony Boatright, Christopher Kerney Sr, Martin Kerney Sr, Myrtle Walker, all of Pittsburgh PA ten amazing grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunt’s & Uncle’s.

Friends and Family will be received Tuesday from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., 449 Mitchell Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania. Services will be held at Morning Star Baptist Church, 307 Shaw Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania.

Interment will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania.
