Margaretta L. Cotton

Margaretta L. Cotton, 100, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in ManorCare Health Services of Shadyside.

She was born July 25, 1917 in Asheville, NC, daughter of Anna Belle Baynes.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Cotton.

Margaretta was a member Deliverance Baptist Church of Swissvale and a former member of Morningside Church of God In Christ.  She received her LPN Certification and was a graduate of both Hardy Bible School and Moody Bible Institute of Chicago.  She had worked as a LPN, a Crossing Guard, a welder during WWII, a Senior Companion for the Allegheny County Department of Aging, and she had also worked at a local dry cleaner.

Left to cherish her many memories are her nephew, Maurice Watson of Pittsburgh, PA; foster son and Nathaniel Williams of Wilkinsburg and daughter-in-law, Yvette Williams.
