Linda Joyce (Herriott) Garrett

Linda Joyce Herriott Garrett, 69, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Monday, May 6, 2019, in UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

She was born January 6, 1950, in McKeesport, daughter of the late Edward Charles and Sarah Marie Bailey Herriott.  She was also preceded in death by her siblings, James Bailey, Bonita Herriott, and Lafayette "Reddit" Herriott.

Linda was an active member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in McKeesport Church, where she was called to serve the Lord through the Stewardess Board, the Hospitality Committee, and the Nurse's Guild.  Upon her graduation from high school, she went on to attend Conley Trade Center where she graduated from the Nursing Program.  Linda retired after twenty-two years as an LPN at John J Kane Regional Center - Glen Hazel.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carlisle Garrett of Lewistown, PA, Tiffany Garrett of McKeesport, Latifah Brown of McKeesport, NaDirah Simmons of Duquesne, Terri Davis of McKeesport, Hasan Davis of McKeesport; thirteen grandchildren; three siblings, Josephine George of McKeesport, Edward C. (Deborah) Herriott of McKeesport, Mae Herriott-Hudson of McKeesport, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 10, 2019, from 4-8 pm St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 1350 Locust Street, McKeesport, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 am with Rev. Geoffrey Tate officiating.

Interment will follow in the McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery, McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
