Joyce Elaine (Townsend) Williams

Joyce Elaine Townsend Williams, 71, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, departed this Earthly Life on Friday, July 13, 2018 in AHN Jefferson Hospital.

She was born January 18, 1947, in McKeesport, daughter of the late Randolph and Lillie Mae Townsend Rouse.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lee Williams, her children, Arthur Lee Williams, Jr., Gary Lamont Townsend, and Travis John Sanders.

Joyce graduated from Clairton high school in 1964, then worked for Shadyside Nursing Home.  She was a former employee of Volkswagen in Greensburg. Joyce was a member of Mt. Olive First Baptist Church, where she sang in the Choir. Joyce was an original member of the Clairton Reunion committee.

Left to cherish her memories are her two children, Sharold Townsend of Glassport and Ronald Townsend of Clairton; grandchildren, whom she adopted, Latari Mitchell and Megan Sanders; grandchildren, Eugene Washington and Mahlek Williams; great-grandchildren, Sisters, Rhonda Rouse Hairston of Clairton, Twyla Rouse of Atlanta, GA and Brother, James Rouse of Pittsburgh, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2-4p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., 449 Mitchell Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania., where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 with Rev. Lenny William
