John Green, III

John Green, III, 55, of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

He was born February 26, 1963 in Orange, VA, son of Jeannette Johnson of Charlottesville, VA and the late John Green, Jr.  He was the loving husband of Terese Sparks Green.

John was a member of Payne Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Duquesne, where he served on the Usher Board, Culinary Crew, and was a member of the Son’s of Allen.  He was a member of the “The Weekenders” bowling league and was also a former Coach for the Steel Valley Athletic Association.  He was employed at D.S. Waters in Carnegie.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Terese Green of West Mifflin; three children, Jonathan Green of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, John Green, IV of West Mifflin, David Green of West Mifflin; two grandchildren, Janaya Greene and  Jeremiah Green; four siblings, Lorraine Green of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Elaine Green of Charlottesville, VA, Johanna Green of San Diego, CA, Jennifer Green of Charlottesville, VA; step-mother, Mary Green; nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Friends will be received Friday, October 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm in Payne Chapel AME Church, 601 Priscilla Avenue, Duquesne, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Christina Reid officiating.

Interment will be private.
