James E. (Sr.) Cowans

James E Cowans, 75 of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, departed this life peacefully on December 4, 2019.

James was born January 29, 1944, in Wilmerding, PA, son of the Late Thomas C. Cowans Sr. and the Late Rosalee Cowans . He was also preceded in death by his Sister the Late Doris Greer, and Brother the Late Arthur Cowans

Devoted, and loving husband to Pearl A. Cowans for 55 years, and loved his family and friends with all his heart, and he loved to joke around.  His favorite hobbies were woodworking and spending time on YouTube.  He enjoyed his weekly shopping trips to Walmart and ordering anything and everything from Amazon.

James leaves behind to cherish his memory: Wife Pearl Ann Cowans, 5 Children; Kimberly Bush, James E. Cowans Jr., Kathleen Cowans, Terri Cowans, Chelsea (Kenneth) Knutsen, 2 Sisters; Ruth Porter, Mary Lois Cowans, 4 Brothers; Thomas C. (Maria) Cowans Jr., Robert (Elaine) Cowans, David Cowans, James Mann, 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.  

The family will receive friends in Robert A. Waters Funeral Home Inc. 2326 Jenny Lind Street. McKeesport, PA 15132. Tuesday, December 10, 2019, from 4 - 8 pm.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in First United Methodist Church of McKeesport. 1406 Cornell Street. 11 am.
