Evelyn Johnson Buckman Jordan

Evelyn Johnson Buckman Jordan, age 96 of Suitland, Maryland, passed away at her home on Monday, August 26, 2019. Born on January 3, 1923, in Sumpter, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose and Ella Johnson. Evelyn first married Cyrus Buckman, Sr., and after his call to heaven, she wed the late Everett Jordan. They were married for 50 years. She was a wonderful wife and a full-time mother who enjoyed caring for her family.

Evelyn is survived by four daughters, Mary Buckman, Dorothy Moody, Helen Simmonds, and Charise McNealey; three sons, Cyrus Buckman, Jr., William Jordan, and Stephen Jordan; one brother, Wallace Johnson, fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Homegoing will be Saturday, August 31 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 307 Shaw Avenue, Clairton, PA, 15025. Viewing 9:30 am – 11:00 am and service begins at 11:00 am.
