Edith H. (Sloan) Foy Bell

Edith H. Sloan Foy Bell, 88, of Pittsburgh, formerly of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at home.

Born November 7, 1929 in West Mifflin, daughter of the late Clayton Sloan and Ada Webb also preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Bell, Jr.

Edith was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church of Homestead and sang in the choir.  She was also a member of the American Legion and the Garnett Club.  She worked as an Administrative Secretary for West Mifflin Area School District.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Foy Simon; four grandchildren, Albert Simon, Tomeka R. Simon, Melissa Sloan, and Michael Washington; great-children, Sadé Simon and Dedris Davis, Jr. and many loving family and friends.

Friends will be received Sunday from 4-8 pm at Second Baptist Church of Homestead, 108 West 12th Avenue, Homestead, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev. Donald Turner officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lebanon Church Cemetery, West Mifflin, PA.
