Alvin Joseph Holloway, Sr., 69 of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Monday, June 24, 2019, in UPMC East Hospital.
He was born February 9, 1950, in Terre Haute, Indiana, son of the late Early and Gertrude McConnell Holloway. Alvin was the 24th of 25 children.
He worked as a Forklift Driver and Press Operator for General Motors and a member of the Booker T. Washington Lodge #218, I.B.P.O.E. of W.
His survivors include his children, Alvin Joseph Holloway, Jr. of Kentucky, Jade Johnson of East McKeesport, Deja Johnson of McKeesport, and Deonte Johnson; nine grandchildren, Antonio Holloway, Tyzere Corbett, Jada Alred, Laina Jackson, Taliyah Jackson, Ayla, Aaryn and Lennox Jackson, My'eir Brown, Deontae Johnson Jr.; great-grandson Aiden Holloway; three sisters, Patty Reese of Ohio, Louise Norton of Terre Haute, Indiana, Delores Stanley of Terre Haute, Indiana, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 1, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc, 2326 Jenny Lind Street, McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in First A.M.E. Church, 177 Mitchell Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania with Rev. Dr. Helen M. Burton officiating.
Interment will be private.
